Civics Lessons Offered to Residents
Full Description:
Residents are invited to participate in the Southwest Valley Citizen Academy, an eight week program that teaches fundamentals of issues such as land use, open meetings laws, getting involved in your local government, annexation and other topics. Classes are from 6:30 to 9:30 p.m., Thursdays beginning September 11th at the Estrella Mountain Community College on Dysart & Thomas roads. Cost is $10 per session or $50 for the entire 8 week course. Call Kirsten Hall at 623-935-8492 for information.
